For more than 113 years Lilleywhite Funeral Service has been a name synonymous with dignity and pride in the profession of funeral directing.

Lilleywhite Funeral Service was founded in 1897 by John Reuben Lilleywhite, a local joiner, from Kirkhams, Whitefield. Reuben handed down the business to his son George who re-located the business to our present location on Bury Old Road, Prestwich in the 1960's. The company is now run by the fourth generation of the Lilleywhite family, with John and his son Simon running the business.  Lilleywhite Funeral Service has become Prestwich’s longest established firm of Funeral Directors, and the only remaining firm to still be owned and run by its founding family throughout its term, and is still an entirely independent firm of family funeral directors.

We are team of dedicated professionals who provide a personal service to you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD). Funeral Director Members of the association are bound a Code of Practice – which has twelve key principles. Lilleywhite Funeral Service are monitored and inspected regularly by the NAFD to ensure compliance.
